Adrian Hosford - Chairman
He is also a non-executive director of the NHS in Kent, and chair of both the Communication Trust and the Advisory Panel for the International Centre for CSR at Nottingham University Business School. Between 1985 and 2009 Adrian was Director of BT’s Customer Communications Unit, responsible for all the company’s advertising and marketing communications with an annual budget exceeding £100 million. Latterly he was BT’s Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, during which time the company led the telecommunications sector of the Dow Jones Global Sustainability Index for eight consecutive years, won the Queen’s Award for Sustainability, and was the BITC Company of the Year 2007. Adrian is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and from the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School. He is married with three grown children and lives in a converted barn in the Weald of Kent.
Jon Cousins - Chief Executive Officer
Graduating with an Honours degree in printing technology, he then won a scholarship to undertake postgraduate studies in graphic design in the United States. Following this he started an award-winning London advertising agency handling advertising and direct marketing for a client list which included Capital Radio, Royal Mail, Penguin Books, the V&A Museum and the NSPCC. The agency’s success over ten years provided the funding for a series of innovative and creative online businesses started since 1998. In the online part of his career he has co‑authored psychological research papers, co‑written a book, won design awards, invented ingenious web applications and appeared on TV and radio numerous times. Jon lives in Cambridgeshire, and works there and in San Diego, California.
Caroline Ashcroft - Director
Earlier in her career she was Advertising Manager at BT, during which time she had responsibility for the highly effective ‘Beattie’ campaign starring Maureen Lipman. She went on to work as an account director in advertising and digital marketing agencies with responsibility for clients such as Canon and the Football Association. Caroline is married with two sons and lives in a Cambridgeshire village.
